*What’s up guys! My name is Coach Syd, and I am the founder of Glove Worx.
*Originally from Pennsylvania, I spent 12+ years playing competitive tournament softball for the PA Outlaws before attending the University of Pittsburgh.
*At Pitt, I played four years of NCSA Club Softball at SS and 2B, while also serving as the General Manager and President of the team (2x NCSA Mid-Atlantic Player of the Week).
*In the 2025-2026 season,I led the Calvary Christian High School Softball Team to a 22-5 winning record, 2A FHSAA Regional Championship and State Semifinal as an Assistant Coach.
*Specialized in middle infield and mental performance
*Bachelors of Science, Psychology and Criminal Justice
My Approach
I believe great athletes are built through hard work, resilience, and a willingness to embrace challenges. As a coach, my goal is to create a positive but demanding environment where players are pushed to grow, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
In my lessons, I focus on more than just softball mechanics. I challenge athletes to compete with purpose, learn from failure, and develop the mindset needed to succeed both on and off the field. Growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone, staying consistent, and trusting the process.
Whether your athlete is just getting started or striving to compete at a higher level, I'm committed to helping them improve their skills, build confidence, and develop the habits that lead to long-term success.
